The waitress who revealed she is dating retired NRL superstar Sam Burgess has boasted of how she “dreams big” as the Daily Telegraph can reveal she is an aspiring actress who lists her talents on an audition site for casting calls, acting jobs and movie extras.
Seattle-born Oak Schuetz, 27, posted a YouTube clip revealing she was almost adopted out by her college mother who changed her mind after falling in love with her and now “I’m not afraid to dream big,” she tells viewers in the 2013 video entitled Oak Schuetz In a Nutshell.
“I have wild energy and big dreams, no one can stop me, because no one can stop a girl who chases her dreams.”
The women’s health enthusiast, who yesterday confirmed to The Daily Telegraph she was “seeing” Burgess, boasts an Instagram account peppered with pictures of her travels around the world, including Indonesia, Washington, China, and Mexico and Australia.
The pretty American waitress, who lists her talents on explore talent, was seen affectionately hugging footballer Burgess outside her Eastern Suburbs home on Sunday morning.
“He’s a lot taller than I’m used to, about 6ft 5in, he’s so tall, I’ve always dated monsters,” she told The Daily Telegraph.
“We’re just starting to see each other, it’s been a couple of days. Yeah, I’m excited, he’s really nice.”
She told The Daily Telegraph the pair had been dating for just four days but hoped she was not “just a fling” as he negotiated a divorce from his estranged wife Phoebe.
However, Burgess has told close friends he’s not in a relationship.

Ms Schuetz, 27, said she had spent at least two nights at the star’s penthouse in Coogee since they met on Friday at the CBD Establishment bar, where he chatted her up in the drinks’ queue.
She said the pair hit it off immediately but left separately at the end of the night, at his request, to avoid being seen together in public.
They returned to his home where she spent the night.
“I went over to his table to say thank you for the drink and he introduced me to his mother and friends. I was like, ‘What?...This is your mom?’I was embarrassed to meet his mother so soon but she was friendly and seemed to like me,” she said.
“We hit it off and he said we should leave to go back to his, but separately, he didn’t want people to see us leave together.
“His apartment is lovely and so is he. I know he’s getting divorced and he’s going through a tough time but, like my motto goes, ‘why not?’
“I’m going to take a chance on him. Maybe it’s just a fling. I hope it’s not, but it’s fun right now. We’re dating for sure — it’s exciting.”
Burgess, 30, was seen driving his BMW SUV into the driveway of the young woman’s home on Sunday.
The pair hugged and chatted and he was seen handing over her mobile phone before flying to Brisbane.
Ms Schuetz arrived in Sydney a month ago from Seattle and is currently waitressing at O Bar and Dining at the Opera House.
“I just like him, he seems genuine, he asked me that first night if I knew who he was and when I said I had no idea, he said ‘that’s perfect’,” she said.
“He said he’ll see me when he gets back from Brisbane.
“I googled his wife Phoebe, she’s so pretty, prettier than me.
“I’m just going to go for it and see what happens.”
Ms Schuetz, a women’s health enthusiast, boasts a bizarre online history and earlier this year launched a gofundme page asking for a $9,000 donation but refused to reveal what she wanted the money for.
“I have been taking out loans for the rest and dedicating tax return to it as well but there is still a lot that is not covered...I am scared and have much more expenses that are going to be hard to cover. I am just happy to be alive...,” she writes on the gofundme page.
“Honestly, I never ask for much. I always scrape by and try to do my good deeds. I am so sad and scared that I shake as I write this...but I now need help. Even $5 adds up.”
“I do not feel comfortable putting information out there... I need God’s army of angels.
Burgess split from the mother of his two children in September.
He has since been banned from going within a kilometre of her family home in the Southern Highlands after an alleged row with her father Mitchell Hooke.
He was charged with domestic violence-related intimidation and police have filed an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order to protect Mr Hooke. Burgess’s lawyer has denied the allegations in court.
