A man has been charged after not so gracefully dangling over Perth’s busiest freeway dressed as Spider-Man.
Social media images show the 41-year-old masked crusader hanging from a Como footbridge over the Kwinana Freeway using a metal chain and harness on Thursday.
The wannabe Avenger can be seen casually on the phone photos published by PerthNow as hundreds of cars pass below near South Terrace.
WA Police, ambos, and fireys were called to the scene and closed the freeway, resulting in significant traffic congestion during peak hour.
They used a cherry picker to safely remove the individual from the bridge.
The man was assessed by St John WA before being arrested and taken to a local police station.
The Shoalwater man was charged with endangering life, health or safety and will face Perth Magistrates Court on May 9.
