Man dies after two-vehicle crash on Mid Western Highway

A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in the NSW central west.
Emergency services were called to the Mid Western Highway, 10km west of Cowra, about 7.20am on Tuesday following reports of a crash between a Mazda sedan and a Ford Ranger.
The driver of the Mazda, a 34-year-old man, was trapped in the wreckage for a short time before being freed.
Paramedics immediately rushed him to Cowra airport, but he died on the way.
The driver of the Ford, a 53-year-old woman, was taken to Orange Hospital for mandatory testing and observation.
Investigators have established a crime scene at the site of the crash and are probing the circumstances surrounding the incident.
