A driver’s life was tragically cut short overnight after a falling branch hit his car and injured two others.

A man was killed in Victoria’s north on Tuesday night when a falling branch struck the vehicle he was driving.
The Bureau of Meteorology issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Yarrawonga on Tuesday night, with residents urged to “shelter indoors immediately”.
Emergency services responded to the incident at the Loop Track camping area at 7.10pm, with police confirming “a large tree branch had fallen onto a moving vehicle during a significant weather event”.
A teenage boy and a woman in her 50s were also injured and both were taken to Northeast Health Wangaratta to be treated for upper body injuries.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman confirmed the woman was “in a serious but stable condition”, while the boy’s condition was described as “stable”.
The identity of the man is yet to be confirmed, as are the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
