Ms De La Cruz’s unborn baby did not survive the crash.

“We love you even (though) you were not able to see the world. You don’t know how happy we were when we found out about (sister’s) pregnancy,” a relative posted to Facebook.

The four were reportedly making their way to visit the young couple’s soon to be built home in Cannonvale.

Ms De La Cruz’s parents were visiting from the Philippines and “seeking to create cherished memories” with their daughter and son-in-law before the tragic incident.

The Whitsunday community and loved one’s have rallied around the family, with a GoFundMe page raising funds to cover the cost of funeral arrangements and medical bills.

“As they navigate through this profound loss, we hope to come together to offer our support. The financial strain of funeral arrangements, medical bills, and the sudden loss of their loved ones is overwhelming,” organiser Maria Cos wrote.

“We will be strong and brave because I know that is what you really want for us. Our hearts (are) crying out because of the love that we have for you,” a relative posted to Facebook.
