The best sunscreens for kids
Nowadays, you can get sunscreen in just about any form. Of course, you have your liquids and creams, then you have your different applicators - roll-ons, sprays, squeeze tubes.
Some are easier to apply than others, but it seems the easiest is a newer innovation - foam sunscreen.
Foam sunscreen is exactly what it sounds like it is - a light-as-air, whipped sunscreen that’s as fun as it is protective.
And, for mums especially, it’s truly lifechanging.

Putting the fun in function
There are lots of brands making foam products now, but I dare say the first one you think of is probably Sundae - most famous for their Whipped Shower Foams.
The brand now also makes their Let's Get Tropical Whipped SPF50 Sunscreen - described on their website as a lightweight, non-greasy SPF50 sunscreen with tropical scents of coconut and mango.
Mum of two Gemma used to dread putting sunscreen on her kids until a friend brought a bottle of Sundae on holiday.
"It's a sunscreen that puts the fun in function and makes one of the most tedious daily tasks as a parent tolerable,” she said.
“My kids actually willingly apply it by themselves. WIN!"
A real game changer
Kidspot’s Lifestyle Editor Leah uses the SPF 50 Whipped Sunscreen Foam by Aussie brand allkinds, and she said it’s made all the difference for her two kids.
“My kids were so excited to use the foam sunscreen. There's something about a novelty that makes them less complainey about protecting their precious skin!” she said.
“Added bonus was that it was easy enough for them to apply themselves with me only needed for those difficult to reach places. The coverage was great too.”
So, if you’re already dreading those long days in the sun with your little ones, don’t lose hope yet - the solution to getting sunscreen on squirmy kids might be right in front of you.
