Victorian shoppers are in for a treat as Black Friday sales hit stores across the state.
Thousands of bargain hunters are expected hit Chadstone Shopping Centre on November 29 in the hope of nabbing some early Christmas presents at discounted prices.
Originally a post-thanksgiving tradition in the US, Aussies have well and truly adopted the yearly sale event, with big sales coming to a suburban shopping centre near year.
The Fashion Capital will have more than 250 exclusive offers up for grabs and if you spend $250 you get a free espresso martini or soft serve ice-cream at the Noir Bar & Lounge.
Chadstone Director Fiona Mackenzie said with more and more shoppers wanting to beat the Christmas rush and start ticking off their wish lists early, Black Friday was becoming just as popular as the iconic Boxing Day sales at Chadstone.
“Black Friday foot traffic increased by 13 per cent from 2017 to 2018 and we anticipate it to increase again this year,” she said.
More than 45 traffic controllers will be scattered outside Chadstone on Friday to help shoppers with parking demands and those looking for a more premium experience will be able to take advantage of the centre’s valet service.
Chadstone boasts more than 10,000 car parks and there will be a free shuttle running from Federation Square to the centre on Black Friday.
