Comedian and influencer, Tanya Hennessy, has tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with her long-time love, Tom Poole.
The 38-year-old has been with her partner for over six years and shared with her 270,000 Instagram followers that the pair had said “I do” in NSW’s Byron Bay.
Hennessey is also known for her love of fashion. Her maximalist signature look always involves a bold colour or some very high hair, and she didn’t disappoint on her wedding day.
She wore a stunning custom gown by Kyha Studios that featured puffy sleeves and a leg slit, and the comedian looked beautiful on her big day.
She also revealed to her followers a touching detail in her wedding day look.
Her veil featured her pop’s handwriting and the saying, “Stop and smell the roses”, a classic line he often uses to advise her and something she’s always trying to remember because she “moves so fast”.
“This day, I stopped and smelt the roses, and I’m so grateful for my life, friends and Tommy,” she wrote.
The compliments came rolling in from fans obsessed with her wedding look and Hennessy wrote that this would be the most “elegant” she’ll ever look.
“Absolutely stunning,” one person commented.
“The way I gasped! Absolutely stunning,” another said.
“So much, wow! You look so beautiful! Congratulations,” one complimented.
While Hennessy is very much a public figure, she’s also done radio, written books, and appeared on 10’s I’m A Celebrity: Get Me out Of Here.
Poole keeps a much lower profile and the extent of his fame is when he pops up on Hennessy’s Instagram feed.
Hennessey also shared some photos from her rehearsal dinner, where she wore a custom Romance Was Born white mini dress and treated her loved ones to a dinner.
“Rehearsal dinner was so cute and was a surprise from our gorgeous planner,” she wrote.
The influencer has been sharing her wedding process online with fans.
For instance, when she picked up her gown a few weeks ago, she said she was utterly overwhelmed.
“Got my dress. Before I got it, I had an epic panic attack. Just cried in the car. Nothing to do with the dress more that it is just a lot. Why are weddings so anxiety-inducing? Either way this is exciting and overwhelming,” she said at the time.
