DESTINATION weddings are on couples’ bucket lists — not just for the luxurious experience, but for the magical moments captured on camera forever.

These are just some of the photos showing couples celebrating their special day all over the world from Junebug Wedding’s annual Best Destination Photos of the Year.

Its annual Best of the Best Destination Photography Contest attracted more than 5,000 image submissions from photographers.

The top 50 images feature wedding, engagement, honeymoon, and vow renewal photos that showcase both the love between a couple and the beauty of a destination.

Couples were photographed against the backdrop of breathtaking sceneries in places like Greece, Spain, Bali, Koh Samui, New York, New Zealand, Myanmar, Colombia, Ger, Italy, Vietnam, Iceland, the Canary Islands and South Africa.

No expense was spared as the blissfully happy couples were photographed on cliff tops, beaches, boat piers, under tall forest trees and in front of mountains, castles and starry night sky.

One photograph was even taken underwater as a couple kissed in a pool on the popular wedding and honeymoon destination of Maui in Hawaii.

Australia also made the list, with one couple photographed in Canberra.

Junebug Weddings has been hosting photography competitions for the last decade.

World-renowned wedding photographers Mark Pacura, Carey Nash, and Jane Iskra of ISKRA Photography assisted the Junebug team in judging the contest this year.
