Herald Sun readers have heard our howl as we search for Australia’s Top Dog – check out some of the pawsome entries that have been received so far.

Pomeranians in fedoras, beauties with bee stings, sunbaking Schnauzers, bundles of fluff and some very good doggos – these are just some of the entries we’ve received in the national search for Australia’s Top Dog.

The search for Australia’s Top Dog kicks off the launch of Dogs of Oz – a week-long celebration of the bond between us and our four-legged friends.

Fur babies, four-legged buds, best friends and security guards – we want to see them all. If you think your pooch is Australia’s Top Dog, submit their photo and tell us in a few words what gives your pup the X-Factor.

One lucky dog will win a prize pack that’s sure to get their tail wagging. Up for grabs is a morning makeover on Channel 7 from a Pooch Perfect groomer, a $5000 Petbarn voucher plus return flights to Sydney and overnight accommodation at Ovolo 1888 Darling Harbour for you and your dog.
