'You're an idiot': I was abused by a drunk woman for having my baby in a bar

A mum has posted her first video to TikTok after being "harassed" by a seemingly intoxicated woman while at dinner.

In a viral clip posted earlier this month, the mum is shown to be at a restaurant, which has a bar in it, with a group of friends and her baby.

A stranger is confronting her rudely, which prompts the mum to begin recording. When she posts it online, she adds a text overlay saying, "Getting harassed for having a baby in the restaurant next to a bar."

Her caption reads, "First time posting a TikTok video. Am I an 'idiot'?"

"Get your f*cking kid out of the bar"

It all began when the woman using the account, @wigginit, was enjoying her evening, and the strange woman approaches her saying, "You're an idiot… get your f*cking kid out of the bar."

At another point in the clip, she adds in disbelief, "You're 22, get out!" But the mum calmly tells her she's in fact 27.

The seemingly drunk woman continues berating the party - who are preparing to leave - until the baby begins to cry loudly. A bystander and an employee then tell her that she needs to go home.

"The drunk woman said she'd call CPS"

The location of the bar is not precisely known, but in Australia, many bar/pub eating areas are child-friendly; although you obviously need to check with each venue.

But many of the more than nine million viewers of the two videos eventually posted distinguished between a bar and a restaurant next to a bar, which is where the mum seemed to be.

"It's a restaurant WITH a bar. I would go off on that lady," wrote one, for example.

"Lord this woman needs to go home and go to bed," declared another.

And this person supposed, "She was hammered...she needs to leave the bar."

Others were amazed at how the mum kept her composure.

"The patience y'all have. Whoever I was with would be holding my baby while I show her some manners," claimed one parent passionately.

And this viewer shared that she didn't understand the fuss about the baby's presence: "Me growing up running around the bar cause my parents would be in bowling/dart leagues."

Finally, this woman told others, "This happened with my 11-year-old niece. It was a restaurant/bar, only place open after they arrived from a long road trip to visit me. A drunk woman said she'd call CPS."
