Preschooler’s leg broken in e-scooter hit-and-run
Paramedics rushed to the Hunter Region shopping centre on Tuesday responding to calls that a four-year-old girl had been seriously injured after a man allegedly crashed into her and immediately rode off.

A four-year-old girl has been left with a broken leg after she was allegedly struck down by a man riding an e-scooter at a shopping centre in the Hunter Region on Tuesday.
According to witnesses, it was around 10am when the man lost control of his e-scooter and struck the little girl.
Instead of checking to see if she was alright, he picked up his scooter and rode off.
Emergency services were called to the Cardiff shopping centre in Main Road responding to reports that the preschooler had been seriously injured.
The little girl was treated for a broken leg and a cut on her face before being transported to John Hunter Hospital where she will have surgery.
Police have released CCTV footage of the suspect and have appealed to the public to help find him.

Man allegedly strikes down 4-year-old girl with e-scooter
The late-30s man is Caucasian with short brown hair and a large tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.
He was wearing black shorts held up with a red belt, a black t-shirt and a black cap with sunglasses perched on the brim. He also wore dirty white sneakers and a grey Nike hoodie.
Police ask anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
