A British dad has pulled a cheeky prank on his wife after spending almost an entire day deep-cleaning the furniture in their house.
Dad-of-three Marc Hatch was tasked with deep-cleaning an entire house, something he takes pride in and completes with care.
As a cleaner who runs his own business, he knew the job would take a while to complete, but was completely shocked when the customer refused to pay the bill.

Man “invoices” his own wife after cleaning the house
Marc began by cleaning the couch in the living room, then made his way to the bedrooms and gave the carpets a deep clean.
Finally, he was tasked with cleaning the stone floor - the entire process painstakingly took six hours to complete.
“It took me half a day; it was hard work,” the dad-of-three said.
Taking to Facebook, he shared his experience cleaning the house. “Last week, we had a very unfortunate incident when a customer refused to pay!” he said.
“After cleaning a large corner sofa, three bedroom carpets and a stone floor, the customer informed us she was absolutely delighted with the results! Great news, or so we thought!”
He sent the invoice to the customer, charging them £700 (AUD$1,350) for the job, only to get told to shove it.
Don’t be fooled, though, as it wasn’t all that it seemed.

“Get a grip, we’re married with three kids”
Following his day of arduous cleaning, Marc sat down on the couch in his living room and sent the invoice to the “customer” - his wife, Jasmine.
“Hi Jasmine, please find your payment link following yesterday’s clean,” the cheeky message read. “Please click the link and select your preferred payment method. Thank you for your business.”
Sitting next to her husband on their freshly cleaned couch, Jasmine instantly erupted in laughter before sending an equally sassy message in return.
“Get a grip, we’re married with three kids,” read her response.

“Sometimes I push too far, but it’s always light-hearted”
This isn’t the first time he has joked about invoicing his wife for his efforts around the house. “It's just typical Marc,” Jasmine said with a laugh.
While he frequently winds her up, he doesn’t always get the response he intended.
“Sometimes she'll react like that, sometimes she'll laugh, sometimes she'll blow her top if I push too far, but it's always light-hearted,” he said.
“We have an ongoing joke about things that we should get paid for,” he continued.
“If I've got the kids, I'll say to her, 'I'm babysitting the kids, where's my babysitting money?' She's like, 'They're your kids, you don't babysit your own kids'.”
Jasmine likes to get in on the joke, too, threatening to “bill him for child care services, cooking, cleaning and organising all the birthday presents - all those types of things.”
And as far as his last cleaning service goes, Marc shouldn’t expect a payment in his bank any time soon.
“He won't be getting that payment of £700,” Jasmine defiantly said. “There will be some response to him, I'm just biding my time.”
