Stocking up the smart way

In her post, the anonymous member shared a photo of her "hidden toy cupboard" brimming with toys bought on sale or clearance.

She explained her method...

"Whenever I see a toy on sale or clearance, I add it to this hidden toy cupboard. Keep it padlocked 🔒 😂," she wrote.

"When you have three kids, you need to be so organised as their birthdays and Christmas come along so fast!"

The attached photo shows a super-organised storage space filled with at least 50 different toys, ready to be wrapped and gifted when the occasion arises.

Fellow mums applauded the nifty idea

The post quickly gained traction, with other parents praising the mum for her tip and sharing their own thoughts.

One person noted, "My kids change what they like too often to do this 😂."

But someone made the point: "Even if your own kids start not liking those things, they would be great gifts for birthday parties or family!"

Another chimed in, "Exactly. My aunty has done this before. She would go grab a present from the cupboard for whatever birthday my cousins had to go to. It's a genius idea, honestly!! She used to buy extra from the yearly toy sale just for this reason."

Then this parent jokingly replied, "My kids would sniff this out, like a sniffer dog on duty at the airport. 😂 Well done."

Echoing this, someone said: "I could never! My heathens would find my stash in a second lol. Lucky kiddos, clever work mum!"

"I literally do this too! My spare room is full!" another added.

Then this group member admited, "See I’d give in and give them to them every few weeks 😂."

Finally, one person commented: "OMG!!! I’m so envious. I try to get organised a few months before. Maybe I should also start this trend."
