Melbourne’s hot spots have been serving up the goods for tennis champs during the first week of the Australian Open.

As the finals approach, tennis stars are expected to be seen out and about, experiencing all that Melbourne has to offer.

Athletes have been spotted and snapped by fans and are streaming photos and videos through social media to showcase their whereabouts, capturing the typical tourist shots just like thousands of others.

Tennis stars Nick Kyrgios, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova have been seen in various locations in and around Melbourne, exploring laneways, indulging in cafe culture and roaming the banks of the Yarra River.

Crown Towers is home for many players for the duration of the tournament, many posting morning snaps of spectacular views over the Yarra and strolls down Southbank.

Nadal posted a photo posing in front of the impressive Melbourne city views by night.

Kyrgios and Richmond star, Dustin Martin, were seen shooting hoops at a local gymnasium together.

American Sloane Stephens hit up the popular Melbourne hot spot Chin Chin with friends, and Canadian Milos Raonic was spotted at Mediterraneo Charcoal Restaurant in Albert Park with girlfriend, Camille Ringoir.

Tomas Berdych snapped a selfie walking through AC/DC Lane, while last year’s winner Simona Halep posed in front of the iconic street art labelled ‘Melbourne’ down the same laneway.

Aussie star Ashleigh Barty checked in and posted an adorable photo of her nephew with his first babycino at The Pound cafe, South Yarra.

Sharapova has been busy getting in her tourist fix, sharing snaps of herself exploring Melbourne’s street art and hidden laneways.

The Russian ace has also been getting lost in the picturesque architecture of Fitzroy and not skipping the pit stop at much-loved bakery Lune Croissanterie.
