THE Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival will kick off in style Wednesday night with a glamorous official opening at Government House.
Aussie actor Kassandra Clementi, who is set to join VIPs at the launch of the country’s largest consumer fashion festival, was excited to visit Government House ahead of the event.
“It is just so wonderfully spectacular there,” the Home and Away star says. “I felt so lucky getting to be there before everyone heads in for the event.
“It’s like a little oasis in the middle of the city.”
This year marks the 22nd staging of the festival, with an additional 19 runway shows bringing the total to 50, and showcasing more than 100 established and emerging designers.
The premium runways begin next Monday night with the gala David Jones runway, while Ginger & Smart are featured in the Grand Showcase on Thursday, March 8.
