They’ve just announced their reformation, and Pussycat Dolls have already locked in an Australian tour with some pretty good company to boot.

Don't miss out on the headlines from Best of Melbourne. Followed categories will be added to My News.
The reformed Pussycat Dolls will headline next year’s So Pop festival.
The tour will also feature Steps, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Jesse McCartney, Smash Mouth, Alice Deejay, Whigfield, Reel 2 Real and Samantha Mumba plus local DJ Tigerlily.
So Pop plays RAC Arena Perth April 22, Brisbane Entertainment Centre April 24, Qudos Bank Arena Sydney April 25, Adelaide Entertainment Centre April 28 and Melbourne Arena April 30.
Tickets go on sale Monday December 9 at 11am from Ticketek.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor scored Australian hits with Murder on the Dancefloor, Get Over You, Music Gets The Best of Me and her collaboration with Spiller on club classic Groovejet.
So Pop will be the first time she has played a pop festival. “Nostalgia’s not a dirty word,” Ellis-Bextor told News Corp. “It’s nice to recognise songs have played a part in your life, and bring back good memories. That’s a happy thing. Let’s embrace it, I’m all for it.”
Pussycat Dolls split in 2009 after topping the charts with Don’t Cha, Buttons, When I Grow Up, I Hate This Part and Beep. Fronted by Nicole Scherzinger, the reformation does not include Melody Thornton, but does feature original member Carmit Bachar, who was the first to quit the act.
The girl group launched their comeback on the UK X Factor on the weekend.
Steps, who never played live in Australia in their heyday, had a string of hits including the No. 1 5,6,7,8 plus Last Thing On My Mind, One For Sorrow and their Bee Gees cover Tragedy.
Jesse McCartney’s Beautiful Soul was a No. 1 in 2004, Smash Mouth scored a handful of late 90s hits with Walking on the Sun, All Star, I’m a Believer and Can’t Get Enough of You Baby.
