Melbourne Lizzo fans have gone into a meltdown to get tickets for her Forum show.
However there is still a way to see the US star in Melbourne.
Tickets for Lizzo’s Forum show sold out instantly this morning after becoming available to the general public at 9am.
Half of the Forum’s 1600 capacity tickets were sold as part of the presale allocation yesterday.
Tickets will only be sent to purchasers 48 hours before the January 8 show to stop scalping, throwing into question several tickets selling for around $450 on resale site Viagogo.
The original tickets were selling for $89.90.
The demand for tickets was so hot that some fans were struggling to believe that they hadn’t gone on sale before 9am.

If hundreds of fans are simultaneously buying several tickets each, thousands of tickets can be sold in a matter of seconds. For this reason it is possible to sell out a venue within the space of a few seconds, especially if the venue is an intimate one. https://t.co/UhqxhQPvQM

“Ticketmaster was unsurprisingly met with remarkable demand for the Lizzo onsale this morning at Forum Melbourne,” a Ticketmaster spokeswoman told the Herald Sun.
”The allocation for this show was released at 9am today and sold out very quickly. There was no ability to transact these tickets prior to 9am.
“With Lizzo being one of the most popular artists in the world, demand was always going to be extremely high.
“A reminder that Ticketmaster is the only authorised ticket seller for this show.
We cannot guarantee that you will be able to gain access to the event using tickets purchased from unauthorised ticket sellers.”
But there is still a chance for Melbourne fans to see Lizzo despite the Forum tickets being snapped up.
The Good as Hell singer will perform at the FOMO Festival at the Showgrounds on January 12.

Tickets are still available for the event, which also features Brockhampton, Jax Jones, Madeon, Rico Nasty and more.
GA tickets are $149.90, with VIP tickets $199.90.
Lizzo was booked for FOMO before Good as Hell and Truth Hurts became commercial radio hits in Australia.
There were originally no Lizzo sideshows planned, however her success saw the Forum show in Melbourne and Sydney Opera House shows added.
Lizzo’s promoter warns that only tickets purchased through Ticketmaster, the only authorised ticket seller for the concert, will be honoured.
It notes “for the avoidance of doubt, Viagogo, eBay or Facebook Marketplace are NOT authorised ticket sellers.”
“No one actually has a ticket to sell, nothing is dispatched until 48 hours before. Don’t fall for these scammers,” Lizzo’s promoter warned fans.
