Married At First Sight love birds Cameron Merchant and Jules Robinson believe their 15 minutes of reality TV fame is close to expiring.
As the success story of the 2019 series of MAFS, the couple is engaged and planning to tie the knot before the end of the year.
But unlike some of their MAFS castmates they know they can’t live off the show’s notoriety forever.
“I always say we had 15 minutes (of fame) and we have got nine minutes left and we are just enjoying it,” Robinson said.
“There are opportunities that come with MAFS and we are very grateful for that but we still have our normal life.”
Despite the demands of the show the couple never stepped away from their pre-MAFS jobs. Robinson is still involved in the hair and beauty industry and Merchant is involved in sports and coaching.
“Throughout the experiment we kept doing our everyday occupation just to have that reality check and keep our feet on the ground,” Merchant said.
“To be honest it was a blessing in disguise because it kept our sanity.”
The couple are preparing to attend their first Logie Awards on Queensland’s Gold Coast on Sunday.
“Queensland is the perfect location. As a woman because of the wonderful weather you can wear a beautiful dress without a jacket,” Robinson said.
