Australia’s king of romance Osher Gunsberg has joined Amanda Keller, Julia Morris, Chris Brown and Grant Denyer in Channel 10’s hosting club.
Gunsberg, who hosts The Bachelor, The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise has been given the reins of Ten’s new reality program The Masked Singer.
While it is a clever choice that allows Gunsberg to draw on his music TV background on Australian Idol and Channel V, his appointment does continue Ten’s trend of having a handful of stars carry multiple shows and formats.
Keller fronts The Living Room and Dancing With The Stars, Denyer has Dancing With The Stars and Celebrity Name Game, Brown has I’m A Celebrity … Get Me out Of Here! and Saturday Night Takeaway, as well as being a regular on The Living Room, and the brilliant Morris has I’m A Celebrity … Get Me out Of Here! and Saturday Night Takeaway, although her matchmaking show Blind Date appears to have disappeared.
They are all exceptional TV performers but having the same faces constantly on air surely risks viewer fatigue.

Gunsberg was on song about his new gig.
“The Masked Singer Australia is such an out-there show, such a wild format, and I can’t wait for people to see it,” he said.
“While lately, I’ve been whispering very seriously about roses, this is a very different side of what I do, and I’m thrilled.”
The Masked Singer Australia will feature celebrities facing off against one another with one major twist: each singer is disguised head-to-toe in an elaborate costume to conceal their identity.
