A shortlist of Melbourne’s best looking places to eat, drink in 2018

SOME of Melbourne’s best looking places to eat, grab a drink and stay the weekend have been shortlisted in the annual Eat Drink Design Awards. See if your favourite made the list.

The best restaurants of 2017 as voted by delicious.

SOME of Melbourne’s best looking places to eat, grab a drink and stay the weekend have been shortlisted in the annual Eat Drink Design Awards.

A total of 90 projects have been shortlisted in the awards, which celebrate design excellence in the hospitality industry.

Restaurants, bars, cafes, nightclubs, food stores and pop up spaces that opened within the last two years were considered.

Baroq House in the CBD, Biggie Smalls in Windsor and Chandon in the Yarra Valley were among the seven Victorian venues shortlisted for the best bar design.

New space in Albert Park, Lenny 3206, was nominated in the best cafe design, as was Fitzroy’s Bentwood Cafe.

Jackalope and Brae Restaurant Accomdation featured in the new category best hotel design.

Collingwood’s iconic burger restaurant Easeys was also shortlisted for the best restaurant design award.

Winners will be announced at Luminare in Melbourne on November 13.

Each category winner will win a $1500 prize, from a pool of $10,500.
