'Isn't that dangerous?’ Detail in Bluey 'Housework' episode confuses viewers

Some fans were laughing, reminding people that it's just a cartoon, while others sent a message directly to Bluey herself.

Bingo demonstrates how to do her crazy walk

Sometimes when we're watching Bluey, we have moments where we need to remind ourselves that it is a cartoon about dogs. And the episode 'Housework' is one of those moments.

The internet has blown up (again) after a fan pointed out something that didn't sit right with her from the hilarious ep.

"I’m confused I’m watching Housework and Chilli is eating grapes I think isn’t that dangerous for dogs," the fan posted in the Adult Bluey Fans Club Facebook page.

While it is in fact, Bluey who is snacking away on the bowl of fruit, the woman isn't the only one to notice the grapes regardless of who is eating them.

Dogs can't eat grapes

The fan is indeed correct. Grapes are considered toxic to dogs and according to WebMD, any form of grape should be avoided at all costs.

"When dogs eat grapes of any kind and in any form, they are at risk of kidney (renal) failure. All types of grapes, whether cooked, seedless, peeled, dried, or fresh, are toxic to dogs, even in small amounts," the website reads.

Fans chimed in with their own thoughts on the woman's post.

"Ye it's toxic but they are not normal dogs," one fan commented.

"Dogs SHOULDN'T eat things (onions, grapes, chocolate). My dog loves to eat garbage. He lives on the edge. Keeps us on our toes. Also, the Heelers don't greet each other like dogs do, or lick the parts dogs do ... Australia is a different kinda place apparently," another fan added.

"What if real dogs watch it and think it’s okay to eat grapes?!!!" another laughed.

And another joked: "I know how you feel. I was surprised to see them driving cars. My dog has zero interest in learning to drive."

They're just cartoon dogs, people!

The concern isn't only coming from Facebook, either.

Fans were even taking to Reddit to share their concern about the dogs eating the toxic food.

"I realise that I’m referring to cartoon dogs that speak English and live like humans 😂, but in the episode ‘Housework’, Bluey eats grapes and I can’t deal," a user posted, also adding a note to Bluey herself: "Bluey, if you’re on this sub, grapes aren’t good for dogs!"

And that's where many fans had to jump in to remind people to relax and remind themselves it's just a cartoon!

"It’s a kid's program with walking talking dogs… I don’t think everything is meant to be taken seriously," a fan chimed in.

"They also walk, talk, drive and do many things dogs can’t actually do. They also eat chocolate and other things real dogs can’t," another reminded viewers.

And they're not wrong. The Heeler family can also be seen eating other things that are considered dangerous to dogs.

"I thought the same thing when they bought ice cream and it all melted and bandit got chocolate," a fan reminded us.

As the conversation continued online, other fans were thankful people were having this discussion because, while Bluey is "just a cartoon", it's a good reminder for pet owners to know what is and isn't good for their domestic pets to eat.

"I see your point, though. People may think these foods are alright for our pets. My friend’s dog was in doggie ICU for two days after eating only one grape."

Ah, Bluey. Getting us talking about random topics... every... single... day!
