As Bunnings officially rolls out its much-anticipated expanded pets range, new research by the hardware giant reveals two in three pet owners consider their fur baby the most pampered family member.

With 60 per cent of respondents already giving their animal free rein of the house and almost half (48 per cent) having made or planning to make changes to the home to accommodate a pet, Bunnings’ biggest product launch in 20 years is primed to combine cost of living concerns with pet concessions down one giant aisle.

Featuring over 700 penny-wise new items, the expanded range includes toys, bedding, grooming tools, carriers, training accessories, smart technology and flea and worm treatments. Brands exclusive to Bunnings include Happy Tails, Baxter & Bone and PetZone, while Pedigree, Whiskas and Schmackos are among leading pet food partners.

From this weekend, Bunnings’ lowest price guarantee delivers a pet care triple threat, promising to save customers money, fuel and car park rage by removing an extra stop.

“Our store teams have been busy reworking our store layout to create a one-stop pets destination, as well as undergoing training to deliver expert advice, and they are looking forward to helping customers shop the new pets range”, said Bunnings managing director Mike Schneider. “We are thrilled to unveil an even bigger and better range, giving customers the same confidence in value and more choice when shopping for their pets as they do for their home and garden.”
