Women who get away from it all, including their partners, in She Sheds

GUYS, I don’t want to overstate this but we are being attacked by that we hold dearest. No, not Friday night footy, it’s the missus. She’s stealing from you.

GENTS, we need to talk.

Grab a chair. You’ll probably need a beer, too.

I don’t want to overstate this but we are under attack from the thing we hold dearest. No, not Friday night footy. I’m talking about the missus. She’s stealing from you.

First it was your razor, then it was the remote. Now she’s taken the one thing you thought she could never touch. The last bastion of masculinity. Your sanctuary. The place where you keep your power tools.

Fellas, she’s taken your shed.

It looks like she’s painted it, too. It gets worse. She’s leaving you. Not for good, just to be with her shed.

And she’s not alone, apparently this is a thing now. We have our man caves and she has what she’s calling a “she shed”. Look at these. They’re everywhere!

What is that love heart doing on my shed?

It’s a bit girlie. There’s probably candles in there. I guess that’s not so bad. Actually, I love candles. They smell awesome.

This one has a bed. And cushions. I also love cushions. They remind me of the couch.

Mmmm, cushions.
Mmmm, cushions.

A woman who posted one online said she does yoga and drinks wine in there. That sounds amazing. I mean, that sounds stupid!

Another woman wrote online last week: “Women are constructing their own whimsical hideaways to tune out all the lame sauce in their lives.” Lame sauce? What’s does that mean? Is she talking about ... No, never mind, she wouldn’t be talking about us.

She also wrote: “There are no rules or strict guidelines that come with making your own ‘she shed’, except that pretty much nobody else is allowed in there except you.”

So selfish.
