An organisation guru pointed out a change to a fan favourite supermarket item, saying it showed the “importance of design”.

Kylie, also known as @wellorganisedlife, took to her Instagram account and pointed out an issue she’d been having with Aldi’s Goliath Baking Paper.

Initially, the serrated edge people used to cut off a piece of paper was on the bottom of the opening but that was no longer the case.

Instead, it was on the edge of the lid.

Kylie was disappointed by the change

“I’ve wondered lately whether the person who thought it was a good idea to change the cutter to the lid, still has a job in design and innovation,” Kylie captioned the image.

She said it was trickier trying to cut upwards against a flimsy lid.

News.com.au understands the cutter of the Goliath Baking Paper moved from the bottom of the carton to the top, to align globally with the position of the cutter in most markets.

The change was made six months ago but arrived in stores at varying times.

It wasn’t the first time that people had a lot to say about the Aldi baking paper after shoppers started to claim it had begun to stick to everything.

“So disappointing about the change of quality. Talked about this with my besties the other day,” one social media user commented.

“It didn’t used to be like that. I previously had a big roll and it was fantastic,” one added.

Recently, the supermarket partnered with the “world’s best chocolate” to create three new blocks that are “a lot cheaper” than the cult-version.

Aldi joined Tony’s Open Chain, an initiative created by confectionary brand Tony’s Chocolonely with the aim of “ending exploitation in the cocoa industry”.

The Dutch chocolate maker is famed for its “delicious” range of chocolates that are ethically made and fairly priced as part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to “lifting cocoa farmers out of poverty”.

Aldi is Australia’s first supermarket to join Tony’s mission to “transform the chocolate industry”, releasing a new chocolate range made with cocoa beans sourced through the initiative's “5 Sourcing Principles”.

The Choceur CHOCO CHANGER is a collection of three new responsibly sourced blocks of the supermarket’s own-brand chocolate being sold in Australia and at Aldi supermarkets in countries across Europe, the UK, and the US.

While the new sweet treats are good news for the industry, which has a dark history of child exploitation, shoppers have also been left impressed by the price-tag.

Since hitting shelves on Wednesday, social media has been flooded with posts and videos from food fans, many comparing Aldi’s $3.99 blocks to Tony’s Chocolonely bars which retail for $8 at Coles and Woolworths.
