Across the nation we asked readers to name the best of the best in the culinary world.

In Queensland, family-owned operation Banh Mi Factory was voted a must-do for any foodie.

“It’s just really humbling and heart felt to have that sort of support and to think that people appreciate what we’re doing,” said Francis Chung, who owns the business with his wife Lisa and brother-in-law Tony Pham.

In Tasmania Massimo Mele at Peppina was named among the most bellissimo dishes.

South Australians had their own favourite, with The Stunned Mullet in Henley Beach voted the best fish and chip shop.

Dino Papadopoulos runs the shop with his wife Amanda and two daughters, Angelika and Victoria.

“I have a network of contacts to get fish directly off the boat, as well as from the markets,” Mr Papadopoulos said.

“Having been in the industry a while, I can source it fresh and local.”

In NSW Hayden’s Pies in Ulladulla was named as the best of the best.

While in Victoria Albert Park’s Andrew’s Hamburgers took out best hamburger category with a landslide vote.
