Kmart debuts at PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival

One department store has stunned at the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival, with many eager to get their hands on one particular item.

Kmart had its first ever free family-friendly event at the highly anticipated fashion festival on Saturday.

Hosted by Ash London, many were enamoured by the seamless active wear, which came in a variety of styles such as full length tights, shorts and long sleeve tops, from the store.

London herself said her favourite piece was the fuchsia activewear, which was modelled in the full length with the model walking down the runway holding a pink water bottle and an oversized puffer jacket.

“I don’t know if I want the full length or the bike shorts,” she said.

Another called the active wear “dope”.

“It was that fire. The colours, I love, they were vibrant,” the man said.

But the pair weren’t the only ones who were keen on the activewear range, with shoppers posting on social media after trying the range for themselves.

TikTok user Abbey Barbs said the seamless range was amazing, training legs in them so she could review the tights for her followers.

“Quality, outstanding. I trained glutes [in the scrunch shorts] and did exercises such as RDLs and barbell hip thrusts and reverse lunges and they did not rip,” she said.

“Can you imagine? They didn’t rip so they passed the test.”

She said they were just $12, and she also purchased a green and taupe pair.

Several people commented on Abbey’s video about the range, which is currently in store.

“I love these! I pull those things so far up and haven’t ripped once,” one TikTok user said.

Another commented: “Their crops are so good too! I have a couple that I love.”

One said she didn’t have the best experience with the shorts, which she said ripped after the second time she wore them.

Another TikTok user simply posted a video of herself modelling the shorts, and said people should “run, don’t walk” to Kmart to snag the collection.

Others said they also loved the purple version of the set.
