Fans challenge Carrie Bickmore and Hamish Blake to a bake-off
Carrie outdid herself with a hyper-realistic cake baked to celebrate her eldest son Ollie’s 16th birthday.

“Back for another round of, ‘But which one is the cake???’” Carrie Bickmore captioned her latest Instagram post.
And squinting at the two Formula One cars it’s not obvious at first, which is the cake and which is the model, that is until you notice the one on the left is on an iridescent sheet.
“The one with icing?” was Carrie’s Hit Network radio co-host Tommy Little’s cheeky reply.
Even though the cake sheet should have been a giveaway, Carrie still had some followers fooled. One person guessed, “The one on the right!”
Others called on the king of Instagram cake-baking, Hamish Blake to challenge Carrie in a baking competition.
“You and Hamish Blake should have a bake-off!” one person suggested.
Although her skills in realism are clearly top-notch, Carrie will have to work hard to beat Hamish’s epic Aladdin Cave of Wonders cake, complete with a light glowing from within.

Carrie Bickmore bakes epic cake for son Ollie
Carrie celebrated her eldest son Ollie’s 16th birthday with a pair of sweet social media posts.
In the second post, she shared a photo of an imprint of Ollie’s baby feet.
“Your little feet may have grown (into a giant’s!!)… but you are still the same sweet, calm observant, friendly, loving boy you were the day you were born,” she captioned the photo.
“Being your mum is the actual best. Love you always Ollie. Happy 16th.”

Followers chimed in wishing Ollie a happy birthday.
“16 laps around the sun kiddo,” said one person. “Cheers to many more adventures ahead.”
“Happiest of birthdays Ollie!” wrote another. “Sweet 16!”
“Happy 16th to Ollie!” said a third. “Driving lessons next, Carrie?”
Some took to the comments to reminisce about their how their firstborns have grown up in the blink of an eye.
“My firstborn is 26 today,” one person said. “Like seriously… how did that happen!”
“My firstborn is 40 today. Where has the time gone?” said another.

Carrie Bickmore and Ollie lost Greg Lange in 2010
Carrie shares Ollie with her late husband Greg Lange, who died in 2010 of brain cancer, when Ollie was just three. Carrie keeps his memory alive spreading awareness about brain cancer and raising funds through Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer charity.
She also has eight-year-old Evie and four-year-old Adelaide, whom she shares with ex-partner Chris Walker. The pair separated in early 2023.
