Fans are convinced that Robert Irwin is on the verge of proposing

Here are three very big hints that suggest a big announcement is imminent. 

It has been described as one of the hardest relationship launches of 2023 and also one that has broken many tween hearts. Robert Irwin and Rorie Buckey... sitting in a tree...

But it appears as though 2024 might just be the year the young loved-up Aussies swing down from their branches to take their relationship to the next level.

Well, fans are convinced so anyway and it's all because his New Year post on Instagram promised his sweet girlfriend that he wasn't done with the love fest.

"R + R. Thanks for making my 2023 so bright. To many years ahead ❤️," were his actual words. 

And fans were lapping it up. 

"So perfect that you have found each other 💗💗💗," one fan commented on the post. 

"This is a very rare example of what true love really is," another agreed.

And then came the predictions...

"Can I get an invite when y’all get married? 🥹" one wrote. 

"You two seem like the perfect match, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if an engagement is forthcoming," another shared. 

And another said they were just "waiting for the engagement post."

#1. She’s in with the family

After a few teaser pics posted on social media of Rorie and Robert looking happy in their new relationship, the hard launch came. Rorie joined the extended Irwin family at the Steve Irwin Gala dinner in November 2023. The first time he's actually taken a date. 

There she was with Terri, Bindi, Bindi's husband Chandler, and her dear Rob. And she definitely appeared as though she was a part of the Irwin family. 

"An incredible night at our Steve Irwin Gala dinner here in Brisbane raising funds and awareness for the charity that my mum and dad created. It was our biggest event yet, and I loved spending the night with my favourite people in the world! ❤️" Robert captioned the shot. 

And even Bindi referred to them all as a "family."

"The most remarkable night. Love celebrating Dad’s life and legacy, as a family," she commented. 

Yep, she's in.

#2. Bindi loves her

Speaking of big sis, the second biggest clue that Rob will propose to Rorie is the fact that Bindi, who he admires greatly, definitely approves of her. 

Despite some publications claiming Bindi wasn't a fan of her bro's new love interest, Bindi shared a sweet social media post in October 2023 along with a few heartwarming words that silenced those nasty rumours. 

"This group right here ❤️ Grateful for every moment shared," Bindi began the post, before moving on to thank the rest of her clan and a little tribute to Rorie. 

"My brother’s gorgeous girlfriend, @roriebuckey - Sweetest soul, beautiful friend, I love her dearly," she shared. 

"You’ll usually see Grace just following her around because she adores her."

#3. She now works at Australia Zoo

OK, she might not be throwing carcasses at large crocs in the main arena just yet - that's her man's job after all - but Rorie now has her own set of khaki's as an official employee of Australia Zoo. 

Back in December 2023, before the year was out, Rorie confirmed the news that she was now working alongside Rob in some wildlife warrior work. 

"I am honoured to be part of groundbreaking research on crocodiles in remote North Queensland," she shared online.

"Working with the University of Queensland and Australia Zoo is profoundly rewarding and I am so grateful to be alongside such inspiring individuals. This data is helping to conserve a keystone species and the habitat that supports them! 💚"

Spoken like a true Irwin conservationist.
