As we get closer and closer to Christmas, going to any shopping centre is nothing but a nightmare.
It’s busy, the elevator is always broken, and your arms hurt from carrying too many heavy bags. But, those are only issues if you actually make it inside, with parking the first hurdle you have to jump over.
Over the years, we’ve all seen some questionable parking in those busy periods. However, one Reddit user’s snap might just take the cake.

“Baffled”
A Reddit user has taken to the platform to share the unique choice made by a shopper when failing to find a parking spot this week.
“'Tis the season to be parking,” the person said in the post.
“I'd understand if it was parked on the other side. But the fact that it's parked counterflow to traffic got me baffled.”
In the accompanying photo, you can see the car parked not in a parking spot, but in a lane, facing the opposite direction to the flow of traffic as if they had reversed in.

“Brb!”
Some people tried to make light of the situation, cracking jokes about the person’s unfortunate choice.
“Hey.. at least they’ve parked between the lines…” one person said.
“This is so bad, I'll allow it,” said another.
“Brb, promise!” a third joked.
But, others were fuming, suggesting the person take serious action.
“Should be an instant loss of license for 12 months,” one commenter said.
“Call centre security to hopefully get it towed, at least they can do a broadcast to hurry this person up,” said another.
The parking drama never ends
Even if you are looking at a real parking space, whether you can or can’t park there can still be pretty complicated.
One mum went viral on TikTok earlier this year asking for clarity around who can use ‘parents with prams’ parking spaces.
“So clearly, these parking spots are for people with prams. But, what if you have a child that is definitely still young enough to still need a pram, but you don’t always use a pram?,” she said.
“I have definitely seen people parking in those spots with no prams, no children, no car seats inside their cars. So, what are the rules?”
Ultimately, it was uncovered that whilst they’re designated for parents, they’re not enforced by law, meaning anyone can really park there. But, commenters said they’re always aware of who they should be left for.
“Personally I only use the pram parks if I’m getting the pram out,” one said.
“I get needing the extra space to open doors etc, but the person missing out on that park who is using a pram that day is a harder situation to be in.”
“I think people should really focus on whether they genuinely need the space if they don't save it for those that do!” another said.
