NEW York is going to shake up Melbourne this winter when the best bites of the Big Apple come to town.
Two of the world’s top food cities will combine for the MEL&NYC Festival for a fortnight of pastrami on rye and classic steakhouse fare, with a couple of New York’s best restaurants hitting kitchens to cook up a storm.

David Chang’s Momofuku Ko is one of the hottest tables in New York, and his Ko team will turn Andrew McConnell’s Marion wine bar into Ko Bar for two nights on August 8 and 9.
Cool Brooklyn bar The Four Horsemen will join with Embla for a Sunday lunch on July 29 that’s sure to be a revelation.
From July 27 to August 12 there’ll be New York-themed dishes and events across Melbourne.
There will be pastrami on rye at Fancy Hank’s, San Telmo will turn into a New York-style steakhouse, and Green Light Diner at Flinders St Station will channel New York’s Grand Central Oyster Bar with a seafood feast.
