Coles introducing new ‘Best Buys’ designed to rival Aldi’s weekly specials
Coles is introducing fortnightly specials to rival Aldi’s popular bargain buys. The campaign will launch with a budget kitchenware range that emulates top premium brands such as Le Creuset. Here’s when shoppers can get their hands on it.

Coles is introducing a new fortnightly ‘Best Buys’ designed to rival Aldi’s popular bargain weekly specials.
Kicking off tomorrow the focus this week will be on cooking and kitchenware with 33 products, including items that emulate top name premium brands such as Le Creuset and Scanpan.
Coles General Manager Non Food, Health and Home Jonathan Torr says the supermarket is launching its first-ever ‘Coles Best Buys’ range for customers looking to grab a bargain on exclusive cookware and unique products traditionally not sold in supermarkets.
“We have introduced “Best Buys” to add some sparkle to the shopping experience and also provide convenient and affordable options to our customers. Customers have told us they love it when they can get all of their needs in the one store,” he said.
“This week we are launching with 33 products including a full range of cookware including cast iron saucepans, grill pans, Dutch ovens, baking dishes and frying pans. We also have much sought after air fryers, thermal induction cookers and multifunctional electric pots.”
Cast iron saucepans, grill pans and frying pans will sell from $16.99 each, Dutch ovens from $19.99 and air fryers, thermal induction cookers and multifunctional electric pots, starting from $24.99.
“We’ve already trialled the products in a small number of stores and customer satisfaction was high on both quality and value for money. The cookware is long lasting, has chemical free surfaces, is easy to clean and are oven safe up to 230°. The cookware has a premium design and certainly emulates popular and more expensive cookware you would find in a chef’s kitchen,” Mr Torr says.
Coles Best Buys will be available in 13 supermarkets in Victoria and 15 stores in Western Australia, based on space to accommodate and ease of shopping. Many of the stores are in outer suburbs and regional areas including Traralgon, Waurn Ponds, Sunbury, Craigieburn, Cranbourne Park, South Morang, Lavington and Shepparton. Suburban stores include Oakleigh, Brimbank, Dandenong and Roxburgh Park.
Mr Torr says over the coming weeks, they will evolve with different themes and new products launching at more supermarkets across the country.
“We are starting with 13 stores in Victoria and 15 stores in WA and these are stores that have more space to make shopping in the best buys section feel pleasant and easy. We will be rolling it out in more stores in weeks to come so stay tuned,” Mr Torr says.
Melbourne mum Monica Brehaut says the cookware is on par with more expensive varieties she has seen.
“I would have thought this cookware would have been way more expensive. They’re everyday products I use in my kitchen that I can now get at Coles but for such better value compared to department stores. The quality for what you’re paying for is just amazing - the price is unbelievable,” she says.
