When it comes to buying bread, all you ever want is for it to be fresh, affordable, and apparently whole.

One Aussie shopper has found out the hard way that, as simple as it may sound, this isn’t always the case - and she wants answers.

“Get it together ALDI!”

An Aussie ALDI shopper has taken to the ALDI Mums Facebook group with a photo of the Bakers Life bread she had just purchased.

The bread, despite looking new, wouldn’t be much help at all for your sandwich or toast, as it has a hole so big it may as well be the crust.

Initially, she cracked a joke about the matter and how silly it was.

“Is this ALDI’s way of getting into the easter spirit? This sure is some holy bread,” the mum joked.

But, her tone quickly shifted, asking ALDI how this could possibly happen - and more than once.

“This is my second loaf like this, more than half the pack! Get it together ALDI!” she said.

“This is dreadful”

A number of shoppers sympathised with the woman, saying the bread was absolutely ridiculous. Some even said it had happened to them in the past.

“I get everything from Aldi in my weekly shop then drive to Coles for bread,” one person said.

“That is dreadful,” said another commenter.

“I have to say- ours was the same this week!!!” a third added.

“It happens!”

However, the mystery was quickly solved when commenters pointed out it was nothing but an air pocket - possible with any loaf of bread, at any store.

However, the woman was heavily encouraged to speak with staff at her local ALDI store, just in case.

“Sometimes there's an air pocket in the dough, it happens and unfortunately with big batches of bread being baked it's easy to miss,” one commenter pointed out.

“It’s just the air bubbles. Let staff know so they can log the feedback,” another suggested.
