A Werribee woman who made nasty threats to her husband’s ex-girlfriend via Facebook has been scolded by a magistrate over the “mindless and stupid” taunts.
Samantha Francis yesterday fronted the Werribee Magistrates’ Court after she called Zoe Flowers a “whore” and a “rat” and threatened she was “coming for you and your sister”.

The public Facebook post in March last year breached an intervention order Ms Flowers had taken out against Ms Francis just weeks earlier.
The two women had never met in person, the court heard, but had waged war on each other via social media and text message after Ms Francis started a relationship with Ms Flowers’ ex-partner, later marrying him.
The marriage has since ended.
The prosecutor told the court Ms Francis had posted: “going to f***king jail … you’re a whore, want to run your mouth off … hiding behind a private number you rat, I’ll make this public so you know I’m coming for you and your sister” to her page, deliberately making the post settings public.
During a police interview, the single mother to five children under 11 made a full admission.
“I’ll admit to that one … I was just mad, trying to get a point across,” she said.
“I got angry and vented through Facebook, I wanted her to see it.”
Ms Francis’ lawyer said his client was ashamed of her actions and had been trying to get back into work and urged the magistrate not to convict her.
And while Magistrate Richard Pithouse recorded no conviction, he labelled Ms Francis’ actions as “pretty mindless and stupid and pretty nasty”.
She was placed on a 12-month good behaviour bond and must pay $750 into the court fund.
