A woman has been rushed to hospital following a frightening smash at Seaford.

It comes after a blue hatchback and white van collided at the Armstrongs Rd and Railway Pde intersection just after 11.30am.

“A woman in her 50s was taken to Frankston Hospital in a stable condition with upper and lower body injuries,” an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman told the Leader.

A Victoria Police spokesman told the Leader tow trucks were en route to retrieve the vehicles, including the van which was overturned.

Dozens of concerned Seaford residents took to Facebook to express their shock and fear of another serious accident at the busy intersection.

People ignore the stop signs and fly across Railway Pde. I’ve seen so many accidents and near misses,” one woman said.

“Someone is going to be killed one day.”

“It’s a shocker. I too have seen so many near misses … hope everyone is OK,” another woman said.
