Mother’s Day Classic

For those active mums why not try giving the Mildura Mother’s Day Classic a go? The run will be held on Sunday May 8 at The Mildura Weir Lock 11 Lawns. There is a 4km and a 5km option and you can walk or run.

Online registrations close at 3pm Saturday May 7.

Yum Cha Cook Off

Is your mum into cooking?

At the Mother’s Day Yum Cha cook off you can learn how to cook vegetable dumplings, pork dumplings, mushroom gow gee, crab and spinach dumplings, prawn dim sim, barbecue pork buns and much more.

For $70 per person you get drinks, lunch and a cooking class.

For the arty mums, Studio De Vin is offering a high tea, paint and sip. Artist Maddi Ryan will guide you step by step in how to recreate her gorgeous Bloomin Wonderful, while you nibble on a tower of treats. You will also enjoy a glass of Prosecco on arrival. The High Tea Tower will include scones with jam and cream, a selection of savoury and sweets including dessert cups from the amazing A Little Something Sweet.

Autumn Flower Show

The Autumn Flower And Floral Design Show is the perfect place to take mum this weekend. The traditional flower show featuring Dahlias, Chrysanthemums, Roses, Autumn flowering annuals and perennials, Bulbs, Trees and Shrubs, Cacti and Succulents is being held this weekend in Irymple.

Flinders Quartet

For the musical mums, Flinders Quartet will perform in Mildura on Sunday as a part of Itet — John Noble‘s Quartet Program. Presenting a concert which will proceed with a series of workshops where the group will mentor three Mildura string ensembles – the Mallee String Quartet, Take-5 Quintet and the larger Sunraysia Strings.

Botanic Gardens High Tea

The Inland Botanic Gardens are hosting a Mother’s Day High Tea. The Wentworth District Community Medical Centre committee is pulling all the stops out so that you can show your mum how much you love her this Mother‘s Day.

There will be fine china, entertainment, flowers and photography, all while raising money for the Wentworth District Community Medical Centre Inc.
