An American inspired diner serving classic burgers, shakes, cocktails and fried chicken has been named Wyndham’s best burger.

Truck Stop Deluxe opened in 2015 and has since become a must-visit restaurant in Werribee.

It was also embraced by car-lovers across Melbourne who travel to see the Ford LTL 9000 truck in the middle of the diner.

Truck Stop Deluxe Venue Manager Bubby Luxford said the truck was the biggest drawcard.

“We provide the same product every time someone comes in, the product, service and good atmosphere is why people keep coming back,” he said.

“Lots of people come to us while they are on a weekend away enjoying the zoo and the Werribee Mansion and come and get lunch.

“The truck is our drawcard and not your average burger restaurant.

“A big thank you to the community for supporting us, it means so much particularly during this time.”

Mr Luxford encouraged people to try his classic “fine and dandy burger”.

For for diehard burger fanatics, Mr Luxford said the McLovin burger with two pieces of buttermilk fried chicken, American cheese, Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce, secret recipe Mick sauce on a lightly toasted brioche bun, was a favourite.

Truck Stop Deluxe will remain open through Covid lockdown with takeaway and delivery options available.
