Tongues wag as bizarre CCTV captured disguised person placing dog poop under man’s ute

CCTV footage has captured the strange moment a dog poop bandit leaves a disgusting Boxing Day present underneath a Melton man’s car.

Baffling footage has captured the moment a hidden figure placed dog poop under a man’s car as neighbours questioned what might have prompted the gross act.

A Melton man posted CCTV to social media after a disguised person was caught drawing from a bag before placing dog poop under his car tyres which sent the rumour mill into overdrive.

The incident took place about 10.45pm on Boxing Day.

A Kurunjang resident was baffled after CCTV captured a disguised figure placing what appeared to be animal poo under his car tyres.

Kurunjang’s Gaz Hovendene posted the video before giving the anonymous person some free advice.

“Whoever thought it would be a good idea to put dog s--- under my tyres last night, next time put it infront (sic) of the tyres so I actually drive over it,” Mr Hovendene said.

“If you feel up to it, come again tonight around the same time I’ll give you a hand holding the bag you’re carrying s--- in … weirdo. Merry Christmas.”

Mr Hovendene told the Herald Sun he had no idea who might be behind the gross act.

“Whilst it does seem pretty personal, I don’t believe I’ve annoyed anyone bad enough recently to warrant something so petty ... our street is actually quite nice, all the neighbours talk and get along quite well. So very random.

Melton’s Gaz Hovendene invited the person to return the following night.

“You hear about people taking things from peoples front yards like garden lights or parcels but this is a first for me, seeing someone carrying around poo in a bag is a first for sure.”

The post prompted hundreds of comments from bemused Melton residents asking what might have prompted the low act.

“OMG … what did you do?,” one person said.
“Do you think it could be one of the neighbours,” another added.

The dog poop bandit has not returned and is yet to be identified.
