Seven youths arrested after alleged attack on Williams Landing bus, 16-year-old robbed

A group of teenagers have been arrested and charged after a 16-year-old was allegedly assaulted and robbed on a bus from Tarneit to Williams Landing.

A 16-year-old has allegedly been attacked and robbed on a bus by a group of seven youths.

It is alleged the teenager was approached by another young male about 7.30pm on Monday night on a bus from Tarneit to Williams Landing.

Police have been told the offender made demands for the victims airpods and jewellery, and was joined by several more youths who made further demands of the victim.

It’s alleged the group, some carrying edged weapons, began physically assaulting the 16-year-old and stole his property.

The driver of the bus stopped at Williams Landing train station and helped the victim call triple-0.

It is alleged the offenders took off on foot but were able to be quickly located by police nearby.

Officers located seven teenagers nearby who were arrested.

One 18-year-old from Point Cook, One 17-year-old, three 15-year-olds, a 16-year-old, and a 12-year-old.

Are all currently assisting Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives with their inquiries.

The victim was not physically injured during the incident.
