Police investigating suspicious fire at Werribee tobacconist
An early morning fire at a shop in Melbourne’s west is being treated as suspicious after 26 firefighters battled to bring it under control.

More than 25 firefighters battled a blaze that broke out at a tobacconist in Werribee on Thursday morning.
Crews arrived on Watton St just after 3.30am and quickly extinguished the blaze, with minimal damage to the shop front and merchandise reported.
No one was inside the shop at the time and there are no reported injuries.
Werribee CFA Lieutenant Rohan Rizzoli said firefighters accessed the inside of the building from a break in the glass shop front
He said the fire was brought under control a short time after crews.
Seven firefighting appliances were on scene with crews from Tarneit and Point Cook also assisting.
He confirmed Victoria Police were the leading authority and the incident was being treated as suspicious.
Werribee firefighters then responded to a fire in Little River about 6am.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident are not yet determined and investigations remain ongoing.
