A man from Melbourne’s west has faced court accused of stabbing a teenager in Hoppers Crossing last month.
Eh Eh Ler Shee, 19, of Hoppers Crossing, appeared briefly at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday in relation to the stabbing of a 16-year-old boy at Mossfiel Drive on Saturday November 23.
He was charged with intentionally causing injury, affray, asssault with a weapon and possessing a controlled weapon.
Eh Ler Shee was one of nine people arrested as part of the police investigation.
At the time the alleged victim self-presented to hospital with suspected stab wounds before he was released.
Eh Ler Shee was arrested on Monday and remanded in custody.
On Tuesday the court heard Mr Eh Ler Shee may be “vulnerable” to custody due to his young age.
Mr Eh Ler Shee told the court it was his first time in custody.
No other details of the alleged incident were heard in court, with the filing hearding adjourned to be heard at Shepparton Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
