Accused Melbourne dad Michael Trebilcock charged with possessing child abuse material
A specialist child abuse policing unit has slapped a Melbourne dad with multiple charges after they allegedly found material on his computer.

A Melbourne dad was tracked down by federal police who arrested the accused grub at his family home for alleged child abuse material crimes.
Michael Trebilcock, 47, fronted Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with multiple offences including possess and transmit child abuse material.
Mr Trebilcock also allegedly caused child abuse material to be transmitted to himself via a carriage service.
Mr Trebilcock allegedly committed the child sex crimes between December 2023 and January 18 this year
Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team members raided Mr Trebilcock’s Yarraville home on January 18 this year.
The police unit, which arrested and charged Mr Trebilcock, allegedly seized child abuse material hoarded on a computer.
Mr Trebilcock, via his lawyer, made two attempts to keep his name out of the media, but was unsuccessful.
The lawyers initially attempted to have his name redacted from charge sheets but were denied.
They then attempted to rush through an interim suppression order on Tuesday but were unsuccessful in having the matter determined.
Mr Trebilcock, a father, will front court at a later date.
