Teen charged after double fatal crash near Warrnambool
An 18-year-old woman has been charged over a fatal crash in Victoria’s south-west which killed two and left her fighting for her life.

Police have charged an 18-year-old woman over a fatal crash which killed two teenagers in Victoria’s southwest.
The woman, who was 17 at the time, was driving south on Harry Goods Rd in Winslow at about 3.40pm on August 26 when the vehicle veered off the road and hit a tree.
Two passengers in the vehicle, a 19-year-old Mailors Flat woman and a 16-year-old Warrnambool boy died at the scene while the driver remained trapped in the vehicle until she was freed by emergency services.
At the time, she was flown to The Alfred hospital in Melbourne in a critical condition.
On Tuesday, a Victoria Police spokesman said the driver was charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and will appear in the Children’s Court at a later date.
