Alleged meth trafficker Demi Nash faces court

An alleged Warrnambool meth trafficker has faced court after a seven month investigation lead to three arrests and the discovery of $20,000, drugs and knuckledusters.

Demi Nash appeared in the Warrnambool Magistrate’s court on Thursday facing charges of possessing and trafficking methamphetamine.

Ms Nash, 30, has been charged with multiple counts of trafficking meth, possessing meth, and two counts of committing indictable offences while on bail.

Magistrate Nunzio La Rosa adjourned her case to the new year.

The appearance came after three arrests were made during a raid at a Warrnambool address.

A seven month long investigation into drug trafficking in the beachside town lead police to discover drugs believed to be meth and GHB, more than $20,000 cash, ammunition, knuckledusters, a taser, and three cars.

The cars included a luxury BMW X5 and a high performance Holden GTS.

Properties on Raglan Parade, Lachlan St and Moriss Rd were targeted in police raids on Wednesday.

Michael Sparrow was also charged with trafficking meth, dealing with property suspected to be proceeds of crime, possessing meth, possessing a prohibited weapon, and failing to comply with direction.

Another 30-year-old woman has been charged with five counts of trafficking meth, trafficking GHB, possessing a prohibited weapon, dealing with property which is suspected to be proceeds of crime, possessing meth, possessing a prohibited weapon and failing to comply with direction.

She has been bailed to appear at court at a later date.

Warrnambool Divisional Tasking Unit officers were supported by Warrnambool, Hamilton and Portland Crime Investigation Unit detectives and officers from the Warrnambool Crime Scene Services, Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team and Family Violence Unit.
