Thousands packed the Sidney Myer Music Bowl for the Carols by Candlelight Rehearsals.

Melbourne families have turned out in their thousands to get a glimpse of the stars warming up their vocals ahead of this year’s Vision Australia Carols by Candlelight.

The main event will be held on Christmas Eve at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, with Anthony Callea, Casey Donovan and Dami Im among the performers.

The casts of Sister Act and Jesus Christ Superstar are also on the card.
