Youth Premier League: Cooper Rojko and Sam Allen among best performers
Victoria’s best young cricketers have put on a show in week two of the Youth Premier League. Here were the top performers and our best photos of the action.

The future stars of Victorian cricket are putting on a show just two weeks into the Youth Premier League.
On the weekend there were a series of impressive performances as the competition heated up.
South East Bayside opener Cooper Rojko fell narrowly short of a century in his side’s win over the Southern Pioneers.
The Brighton Grammar and Glen Iris rising star hit 99 runs from 131 balls to lead his side to a massive 158-run win in an innings which included a 143-run partnership with Jesse Van Rooyen (76 runs).
Lenny Wilton led the way with the ball for the Breakers with 3-27.
Meanwhile, the day’s best bowling performance belonged to West Country’s Sam Allen who finished with 6-5 in just 6.1 against the Suns.
Allen, who plays his club cricket for Port Fairy, took 1-38 in the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association on Saturday to put together a terrific weekend.
The Waves eventually won by 142 runs as Max Bunworth top scored with an unbeaten 68 despite coming in at seven, meanwhile, wicketkeeper Matthew Gome impressed with three catches and two stumpings.
In other impressive performances, Sam Anderson hit a brilliantly crafted 88 for Gippsland in an innings which included 14 boundaries as they overcame the Sharks by four wickets.
In the same game, Rison Rajapakse for the Sharks, representing South East Country.
