RINGWOOD champions David King and Ian Holland both hit centuries against Geelong on Saturday as the Rams posted a mammoth 8-373.
But Ringwood may need every run of that tally when play resumes this weekend.
The runs have piled high at Kardinia Park in 2018-19.
The average score at the venue this summer is 302 and just twice has a team failed to reach 250.

King hit 139 to record his 17th Premier Cricket century while captain Holland was dismissed for 103 after reaching triple-figures for the third time this season and the 11th time in his career.

The pair collaborated for a brisk 191-run partnership for the second wicket over three hours after import Joe Weatherley added 42 at the top of the order in a 70-run opening partnership with King.
While content with day one, Holland said his side needed to post a big total.
“There is no doubt it is one of the better wickets to bat on in the league and we knew 300-plus was probably going to be a par score,” Holland said.
“I feel like we batted really well and I think you need minimum 300 on that ground … I feel like if we can bowl well that we’ll get 10 chances.
“That’s going to be the challenge for us this week and I’ve got no doubt our bowling attack can create 10 chances. We just need to make sure we snaffle everything that comes our way.”
Joe Loorham (27), Patrick Ashton (20 not out) and Michael Topp (19) helped beef-up the tally in the final session.
Holland said he was hopeful he would be available to bowl as he continues his recovery from a punctured lung, while young quick Zak Evans could be a welcome addition.
Geelong’s chase will pivot on star batsman Eamonn Vines, while Hayden Butterworth and Essex import Nick Browne also loom as vital scalps.
Tim Ludeman could also come into the side.
“I feel like 373 is a really good score if we can bowl well and I believe we can create enough chances to win the game of cricket,” Holland said.
“It’s a great challenge for our bowling group to see how we go against some quality batsmen.”
