Maiden century, career-best knocks and big wicket hauls in the Premier Cricket Teams of the Week
Crisply-struck Premier Cricket centuries and bowling brilliance have seen young guns put their names in the frame for higher honours. They feature in our Teams of the Week, showcasing some of the competition’s elite young men’s and women’s talent.

Crisply-struck Premier Cricket centuries and all-round dominance highlight the latest Teams of the Week.
Cameron Hemp, Jonathan D’Rozario, Matthew Montgomery, Shorye Chopra and Zane Keighran raised the bat after reaching triple figures, while Calvin Harrison, Stephanie Townsend and Zoe Samuel fired with bat and ball.
The latest rounds showcased some of the elite young talent in Premier Cricket.

MEN
1. Cameron Hemp (Prahran)
With an array of slashing drives, powerful pull shots and flicks off the pads, the dashing left-hander smacked 137, his second century this season.
2. Lachlan Walsh (Frankston Peninsula)
The right-hander was all class as he scored a career-high 95 not out to guide the Heat to victory over Kingston Hawthorn. His knock was highlighted by 14 crisply-hit boundaries.
3. Matthew Montgomery (Richmond)
The Tigers’ overseas star made it consecutive centuries in his side’s draw with Dandenong, knocking 103 off 188 balls following an effort of 119 against Carlton the previous round. He’s hit three tons this season, with the other coming in the Second XI against Geelong.
4. Jonathan D’Rozario (Richmond)
With a punishing pull shot for four, D’Rozario brought up his third century of the season, making 135 against Dandenong. He’s now up to 615 runs at 61, continuing to put his name in the frame for higher honours.
5. Shorye Chopra (Camberwell Magpies)
Played a decisive hand in Camberwell Magpies’ win over Fitzroy with an unbeaten knock of 104. It was Chopra’s first ton of the season but he has enjoyed good form with the bat and is averaging 58. The Magpies’ 113-run win over Fitzroy has cemented their place in the top four.
6. Ryan Stingel (Greenvale Kangaroos)
Agonisingly short of the century – but what a mighty effort from the No. 3 batter regardless, making 99 off 138 balls, including 10 fours, in his side’s draw with Essendon.
7. Zane Keighran (Melbourne)
The Golden Square product scored his maiden century to set up a vital win for the Demons, blitzing 104no off 98 balls against Prahran, with 5 sixes and 11 fours.
8. Calvin Harrison (Camberwell Magpies)
The Nottinghamshire all-rounder hit the heights with bat and ball, helping the finals-bound Magpies to a vital win over Fitzroy Doncaster with 69 runs of his side’s 5-304 total, plundering two sixes and five fours before a 5-48 wicket haul off 19.5 overs with his leg-spinners.
9. Tom Brooks (Prahran)
Brooks finished with 2-70 from his 16 overs with the ball as Melbourne plundered 7-295, but he also fired with bat in hand to produce 45 runs in a knock which included seven fours and a six.
10. Dylan Walker (Ringwood)
The rising off-spinner picked up his best first XI haul of his career with 4-44 from 15.2 overs. He was rewarded for the effort on Monday with a call-up to the Victorian under-19 Colts for a clash with New South Wales at his home Ringwood deck.
11. Ben Roosenboom (Footscray)
The opening bowler was near impossible to get away as he ripped through Geelong’s top order to finish with tidy figures of 5-26 from 15 overs in a spell that included seven maidens. It was his second five-wicket haul of the season and he’s now averaging below 20 with the ball.
WOMEN
1. Stephanie Townsend (Geelong)
Struck a crucial 66 at the top of the order to set up Geelong’s total of 7-203, which would prove insurmountable for Ringwood. She followed her efforts up with the ball to take 3-23 from 5.4 overs in a convincing player of the match display.
2. Merinda Hale (Prahran)
After making a century last week, the talented opener peeled off 69 at the Albert Ground to set up a rousing win over the Demons and, in the process, go past 220 runs for the season.
3. Rhianna Southby (Box Hill)
Led from the front with a sweetly-timed 57 off 67 balls to set up Box Hill’s run-chase win. It was her fifth half-century of the summer, taking her past 320 runs.
4. Tia Davidge (Essendon Maribyrnong Park)
The keeper-batter played beautifully to make 59 off 98 balls, her fifth score above 40 this season.
5. Jessica Matin (Dandenong)
The Dandy opener put up her biggest knock of the season, with 64 runs off 96 balls in a tight win over Plenty Valley.
6. Zoe Samuel (Melbourne)
Plundered a half-century at a clip only slightly below a run-a-ball and even cleared the rope for a maximum. She was also damaging with the ball and took 3-41 from eight overs. Yet another strong performance from the rising young talent.
7. Amelie O’Meara (Melbourne)
An unbeaten 42 batting from No. 6 as her side fell just short of Prahran by 20 runs.
8. Annie Taylor (Geelong)
Was solid with the bat for a 47-ball 28 before a run out brought her innings to an end, and she was also solid with the ball, chipping in with 2-21 from five overs.
9. Rebeka Vandot (Plenty Valley)
Scored a crucial 40 not out to help her team to a tight win over Melbourne, in her best return this season.
10. Bhanu Mahendran (Dandenong)
The teen talent’s 2-23 off 10 overs was pivotal in a nail-biting victory over Plenty Valley, clean-bowling two of the opposition’s top-order.
11. Diya Redhu (Prahran)
The seamer made key breakthroughs to put Prahran on the path to victory, finishing with 3-18 off eight overs.
