Local cricket: Every century, hat-trick and five-for across Melbourne

As local cricket finally got into the swing of things in the past week, batters made centuries at will while bowlers let rip with the ball. Here’s every century and five-for.

India tops World Cup group as Yadav stars!

Local cricket is almost finally back in full swing.

The weekend’s action saw a number of competitions finally get their seasons underway as Melbourne’s weather cleared.

Brent Wilson of Koo Wee Rup made up for lost time with an unbeaten 197 in the newly renamed Casey Cardinia Cricket Association to post the highest score of any player in the metropolitan area.

Meanwhile, Ashley Bailey of Nar Nar Goon-Maryknoll produced stunning figures of 9-14 to record the best figures of any bowler.

Bailey’s figures included a hat-trick.
