DDCA 2025/26 signing tracker: All the confirmed off-season ins and outs

Beaconsfield

Bowling all-rounder Alex Nice is among the Beaconsfield additions after joining the club from English club Ashington in the North Eastern Premier League. Nice will be joined by countryman Sam Read, who hails from Exeter Cricket Club. Read has been described as a middle-order batsman off-spin bowler. Dominant Turf 3 cricketers Jas and Karan Singh have also crossed to Beaconsfield from Fountain Gate. The Tigers have also made another strong signing after adding keeper-batsman Jake Cronin from Buckley Ridges.

Berwick

Berwick has added all-rounder Vinuda Liyanage to for the upcoming season. Hailing from Sri Lanka, Liyanage has played one first-class match, five List A games and two T20s. The Bears have also added fast-bowling all-rounder Tom Davis from Kent in the UK, where he has figured for the Kent second XI and most recently played in the Birmingham and District Premier League. The addition of Davis will help offset the loss of top all-rounder Matthew Hague, who has returned to Dingley.

Buckley Ridges

The reigning premiers have recruited strongly with 2023/24 Gartside Medal winner Triyan De Silva joining the club from HSD. The former Premier Cricketer piled on 1743 and 123 wickets across four seasons at the snakepit. Englishman Josh Nott will also among the new faces. Nott is a left-arm seamer who helped Devon CCC to the National Counties T20 Under 18s Championship. He has been playing for Exeter in the Devon Premier League. Ayush Patel has also joined Buckley from England, where he captains an Oxford UCCE side. The leg-spinner plays club cricket for Banstead in the Surrey Championship. Englishman in Joe Cotton will be playing at Buckley in the coming season. Cotton is a seam bowling all-rounder from Kent who plays for Hayes in the Kent Premier League. A fourth English player in Harry Snowden has also joined the club from Lancashire Premier League side Burnley. Manjula Munasinghe bowed out after 10 seasons with the club following another Turf 1 premiership triumph, with Roshene De Silva to take over as playing coach. Meanwhile, Jake Cronin has moved on to Beaconsfield.

Dandenong West

After finishing fifth in its first season back in Turf 1, Dandenong West has added some crucial depth as the club looks to ready its squad to contend for finals. Joel Zietsman has made the move from Narre South and will take the new ball for the Bulls, while keeper-batsman Madushanka Perera has also joined. Talented all-rounder Brad Sheehan is also set to join the firsts after injury kept him in the lower grades, while another keeper-batsman in Sam Wellwood has joined Dandenong West after time away from cricket, having previously played at Upper Beaconsfield. The Bulls have lost Adam Reid who has joined CCCA club Officer, while Venuk Hemachandra is expected to make a move to Premier cricket.

Hallam Kalora Park

The Hawks have lost top batsman Mahela Udawatte after two seasons at the club where he managed nine half centuries and two tons. Udawatte has joined Cricket Southern Bayside club Dingley.

Narre South

Joel Zietsman has made the move to Dandenong West to play under Narre Warren football teammate Riley Siwes. Zietsman took 15 wickets for Narre South last season.

Parkmore

The Pirates have been on a signing spree after earning promotion from Turf 2 last season, with five new recruits already unveiled. Al-rounder Harmanpreet Singh has joined the club from SECA side Diamond, while top-order bat Mayank Verma has also made the move from Diamond. Amila Gunaratne is another batsman who Parkmore have added after crossing from Sunday cricket side Knox City Mavericks, where he scored over 400 runs. Gunaratne has previous first XI experience with Pakenham Upper Toomuc in the CCCA.

Former Narre North and Silverton player Lochana Premarathna is also returning to the DDCA, joining Gunaratne in a move across from Knox City — where he also plundered 400 runs last season. Batsman Haroon Osama has also joined Parkmore from Sunday side Southern Rangers.

Springvale South

Captain Cam Forsyth is set to take over as the Bloods’ coach following Paul Hill’s decision to step down. He will be flanked by brothers Mitch as a playing assistant coach, and Dandenong captain Brett who will also take up an assistant coaching role.

Coomoora

Coomoora has bolstered its playing stocks with the addition of left-arm orthodox spinner and middle-order batsman George Davey from England, where he plays for Bedminster CC. Spinner Braydan Woodbridge and pace bowlers Tim Wighton and Dillon Gennell-Smith are also returning to the club after time away. Former St Kilda cricketer Jarrod Munday has taken over as coach, while Dean Krelle is set to captain the side.

HSD

HSD has lost gun all-rounder Triyan De Silva to Buckley Ridges, but the club has added more young talent as it looks to bounce back from another heartbreaking grand final loss. Promising young leggie Liam O’Connor has joined the club as a playing assistant coach from Premier club Casey-South Melbourne after battling a finger injury that left him unable to bowl last season. Cranbourne junior Brayden Lambden and Luke Grady are both also making the move from Casey-South Melbourne’s lower grades. Lambden is a seasoned Premier cricketer who has First XI experience while Grady is an emerging batsman. Ryan Patterson is set to take over as captain.

North Dandenong

Last season’s assistant coach Lee Fallon is set to take over as the club’s head coach in place of Lee Vowles as the club looks to bounce back from last season’s Turf 1 relegation.

Parkfield

Sam Beadsworth has joined Parkfield from Stourport CC in Worcestershire, England. The batsman has previously turned out for the Worcestershire Second XI in county cricket. Last season’s vice-captain Nathaniel Cramer is set to take over as skipper.

St Mary’s

Beau Newman has joined St Mary’s from the FTGDCA and is set to takeover as the club’s captain in Turf 3 as it looks to rebuild. Newman was billed by St Mary’s as a “skillful left-arm pace bowler who can also deliver the rare and deceptive left-arm leggies”. Newman is joined in making the move from the FTGDCA by Ben Lees who is an aggressive top-order batsman and medium pace bowler.

Berwick Springs

Channa Gunnawardana has taken over as the Titans head coach for the upcoming season. Gunnawardana enjoyed a dominant Turf 4 season at Parkfield last year, plundering 769 runs and taking 22 wickets.

Doveton

Doveton junior and batsman Ashwanth Nagendran has returned to the club. Gerard Selvam is set to takeover as the Doves head coach. Selvam has experience as an assistant, most recently in the MPCA, and this will be his first coaching role.

Fountain Gate

Fountain Gate has lost both Jas and Karan Singh who have made the move to Beaconsfield to play Turf 1 cricket next season.
